We’re proud to announce Panther Camp is remaining at the beautiful campus of Lake Forest Academy. We are celebrating our 34th year of camp this summer with the same quality you’ve come to expect, and adding many new activities to our camp program. We will continue to have qualified teachers with your children wherever they go on campus. We will also continue to offer your children choices in their daily schedule, so summer can be fun and instructional as well.

Our teachers and their great experience are the difference between us and many other camps. Teachers are in charge of all age groups and run the schedule and programs. The ratio of teachers to campers through seven years old is four campers to one supervisor, and we remain at eight campers to one supervisor for our eight through twelve year olds. High school and college age students help supervise (many of whom attended Panther Camp as youngsters) but are never in charge of schedule or program. Teachers are always in charge and we are very proud of our teachers here at Panther Camp.

We have seen through the years many young children are able to enjoy a longer day at Panther Camp. An all-day program with age appropriate activities for 3, 4, and 5 year olds will be offered. These children will have the opportunity to enjoy activities such as swimming, tennis and ice-skating.

Lake Forest Academy is the perfect place to enjoy summer camp. The new athletic complex offers significant air-conditioned, indoor space, which includes an ice rink, a full-sized gym, and an indoor swimming pool - allowing us to swim no matter what the weather! We also have access to an air-conditioned art facility and classroom space for Odyssey of The Mind, along with many well-groomed fields for outdoor activities.

Panther Camp is about choice for children. Everyone can enjoy the summer in activities that are varied and interesting. Boys and girls ages 6–12 can enjoy a variety of activities, which include elementary games for the young and many team sports for the older campers. Games such as soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, basketball, and floor hockey are available to all campers. Each Thursday the 6-12 year old campers take a field trip including miniature golf, bowling, a fun park, and a water park.

We will offer recreational swim time on a daily basis for our 6-12 year old campers at the newly remodeled indoor pool. Our 3, 4 and 5 year olds will swim twice a week. Private swim lessons before or after camp are also available for your children. We will be offering tennis instruction during camp on the five outdoor tennis courts as well. On average, twice each week the camp will have skating time at the indoor ice arena. Chess will again be offered as an after camp activity.

The camp is Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Extended day until 3:00p.m. is available. Campers supply their own lunch daily; the camp provides snacks. Our three day a week campers may attend camp any three days a week and change those days on a weekly basis if they desire.

An art class is offered four days a week, which focuses on age appropriate arts and crafts activities. Any child wishing extra art time can easily fit this into their daily schedule.

Panther Camp will again offer an additional Odyssey of the Mind and Explorations component.
